ChatGPT is great at reading a PDF you hand it, but your real library has hundreds of them: statements, leases, warranties, payslips. You should not have to pick the right one first.

Nobody names screenshots. Chats, bookings, tickets, error messages and recipes all land in one camera-roll sized heap, and the only search is scrolling.
Because Filex reads each screenshot on upload, ChatGPT can search the words and content inside them and then do the tidying for you.

A Downloads folder full of final_v2.pdf, scan0003.pdf and Untitled (4).docx is impossible to search and risky to clean up by hand.
ChatGPT opens each file through Filex, works out what it is, and proposes a name that carries the vendor, the type and the date.
Not guesses from the old name. The file is read first, so “scan0003.pdf” becomes the insurance policy it really is.
Ask for “Vendor - Type - Month Year” once and every file follows it.

Custom connectors in ChatGPT depend on your plan and workspace settings. If you do not see the option to create one, check Settings → Apps & Connectors and look for Developer mode under Advanced settings.

Is it safe?
You decide whether ChatGPT gets in at all. It signs in through your Filex account, you approve it, and you can pull the plug whenever you like. Read our privacy policy.
ChatGPT has to authenticate with your Filex AI account and wait for your go-ahead.
Remove ChatGPT from Connected apps in your Filex AI dashboard and it loses access at once.
ChatGPT can search, read, rename, move and add files. Deleting is not something the connector offers.
Your files are encrypted in transit and at rest, and visible only to your account.
Files in Filex are never sold, shared or used to train AI models.
