Rights and ownership
The Filex AI service, including its software, algorithms, design, and content, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our service.
You retain all rights to your files and content. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing file organization services.
Important service limitations
While Filex AI uses advanced AI models, AI-generated titles, tags, extracted dates, and file categorizationsmay be inaccurate or contain errors. AI can misinterpret data (e.g., mistaking a "Lease End Date" for an "Invoice Date"). Users must verify all critical information independently.AI results are provided for convenience only, and you are solely responsible for verifying accuracy before relying on any AI-extracted information, especially for legal or time-sensitive matters.
Filex AI creates organized cloud copies of your files for synchronization and access across devices.It is NOT a permanent data backup or disaster-recovery solution. You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups of original files on your local device or other backup systems. Filex AI is not liable for any data loss occurring within our cloud storage, including but not limited to accidental deletion, service interruptions, or technical failures. Never delete your original files assuming the cloud copy serves as a backup.
AI-powered organization may contain errors. Always verify critical information independently.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
You must maintain your own backups. We are not a backup service.
We are not responsible for third-party services we integrate with
We create cloud copies only. Never delete your original files.
Our legal liability limits
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FILEX AI (AND ITS FOUNDERS, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO FILEX AI IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS (OR ₹100 IF NO PAYMENT WAS MADE).
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Filex AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
Maximum Liability: Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹100 (whichever is greater).
Ending your account or service
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through your account settings or contacting us.
We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
Legal jurisdiction and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
💡 Before Legal Action: We encourage users to contact us directly to resolve any issues before initiating formal proceedings. Most disputes can be resolved through communication.
How we update these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
