These Terms are provided by Lokesh Choubisa, doing business as Filex AI("we", "us", "our", or "the Provider"), and apply to all apps and services we operate, including Filex AI (AI-powered file organization) and Nook (AI-powered screenshot organization). All references to "Filex AI", "Nook", "the Service", "the Apps", or "the Company" in these Terms refer to Lokesh Choubisa operating under these brand names.
By accessing and using Filex AI or Nook ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this service.
What Filex AI and Nook provide
Filex AI is an AI-powered file organization service that helps users automatically categorize and organize their digital files. Nook is an AI-powered screenshot organization app that helps users automatically categorize, tag, and find their screenshots. Our services include:

Automatic folder structure creation
File or screenshot content analysis for organization
Secure user account management
Easy-to-use web interface
Process multiple files or screenshots at once
Account creation and responsibilities
How you can and cannot use our service
You agree to use our service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
You agree NOT to engage in any of the following:

You always remain the owner of your files, screenshots, and data. Your content is securely stored and encrypted to enable syncing across devices, and we only access what’s necessary to organize it. You’re always in control and can delete your data anytime.

Rights and ownership
The Filex AI and Nook services, including their software, algorithms, design, and content, are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our services.
You retain all rights to your files, screenshots, and content. By using our services, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing file or screenshot organization services.
Important service limitations
While Filex AI and Nook use advanced AI models, AI-generated titles, tags, extracted dates, and file or screenshot categorizations may be inaccurate or contain errors. AI can misinterpret data (e.g., mistaking a "Lease End Date" for an "Invoice Date"). Users must verify all critical information independently.AI results are provided for convenience only, and you are solely responsible for verifying accuracy before relying on any AI-extracted information, especially for legal or time-sensitive matters.
Filex AI and Nook create organized cloud copies of your files or screenshots for synchronization and access across devices.They are NOT a permanent data backup or disaster-recovery solution. You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups of original files or screenshots on your local device or other backup systems. Filex AI and Nook are not liable for any data loss occurring within our cloud storage, including but not limited to accidental deletion, service interruptions, or technical failures. Never delete your original files or screenshots assuming the cloud copy serves as a backup.
AI-powered organization may contain errors. Always verify critical information independently.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
You must maintain your own backups. We are not a backup service.
We are not responsible for third-party services we integrate with
We create cloud copies only. Never delete your original files.
Our legal liability limits
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FILEX AI AND NOOK (AND THEIR FOUNDERS, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS (OR ₹100 IF NO PAYMENT WAS MADE).
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Filex AI and Nook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
Maximum Liability: Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹100 (whichever is greater).
Ending your account or service
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through your account settings or contacting us.
We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
Legal jurisdiction and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
💡 Before Legal Action: We encourage users to contact us directly to resolve any issues before initiating formal proceedings. Most disputes can be resolved through communication.
How we update these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
