Why Asking a CSV a Question Beats Opening It
A CSV file has no visual preview in most file browsers and generally needs a spreadsheet application just to view, let alone analyze. This makes even a simple question, like the total of a column, require opening the file and doing manual work first.
Asking directly what the total is, which entry stands out, or how many rows match a certain pattern skips that entire process. The answer comes back the same way it would from asking someone who has already reviewed the file for you.
This matters most for exports downloaded periodically, monthly bank statements, weekly analytics pulls, where the real question each time is usually simple but still requires opening a spreadsheet application to answer without a chat tool.
