Why Asking a PDF a Question Beats Reading the Whole Thing
Most of the time, nobody actually needs to read an entire PDF. They need the answer to one specific question buried somewhere inside it, what is the notice period in this lease, what did this report conclude about a specific market, when does this policy expire.
Reading the full document to find that one answer is a poor use of time, especially for long contracts, research papers, or reports where the relevant section could be anywhere. A tool that can be asked the question directly and answer from the document itself removes that entire search process.
This is a genuinely different interaction than search. A keyword search for "termination" in a contract still requires you to read the surrounding text and interpret it yourself. Asking "when can either party terminate this agreement" gets you a direct answer, already interpreted from the relevant clause.
