It depends on whether you were using Scanner Pro’s automation features or just its capture tool. As a scanner, Scanner Pro is one of the most refined apps on iOS — multi-page handling, cropping, and export are all mature. Scanner Pro can be automated through Apple Shortcuts, which is genuinely powerful for technically comfortable users willing to build and maintain rules — "if a scan contains this keyword, save it to this folder." None of this is a case against Scanner Pro for what it is built for. If you are fully committed to iOS and already comfortable building Apple Shortcuts, its automation capability genuinely extends further than a document organizer needs to go — chaining scans into workflows well beyond filing.

It also has mature signature and annotation tools for people who need to sign or lightly mark up documents without leaving the app, a use case Filex AI does not focus on.
