Gemini lives inside your Drive. It still won’t clean it up.

Gemini’s integration with Google Drive is a genuine advantage: it can look across documents you already have stored and answer questions using them, inside apps you probably already use every day. For people whose Drive is reasonably tidy, that is a real productivity gain.

The catch is what "reasonably tidy" is doing in that sentence. Gemini works with the structure your Drive already has. It does not build that structure. Files named "Untitled document," "Scan_04112026.pdf," or "IMG_8823" stay named exactly that after Gemini has been using them for months, because renaming and filing were never something it does automatically.
